This combination kit is for those needing to assess worker noise exposure within an industrial setting as well as measuring the environmental noise outside the site, such as that impacting on local residents.
The hand-held meter and the dosimeters both make all the measurements needed by the occupational noise regulations, so either can be used to make a full assessment and noise reports. You have the option to choose which method to use: hand held or noise dosimetry.
The sound level meter, an Optimus Environmental CR1710, is Type 1 (the more accurate grade) and is suitable for occupational and environmental noise surveys. It comes with the usual environmental noise parameters (periodic Leq, Ln, Lmax, etc) as well as the occupational noise parameters, such as LAeq, Lavg, Peak, etc.
The Environmental Combination Kit includes the following:
This kit includes everything needed for a full and detailed occupational noise assessment and for a hand-held environmental noise survey.
The doseBadge noise dosimeter is used to measure a worker's exposure to noise throughout the work shift. It measures all the noise that the worker is exposed to and calculates the exposure and estimated noise dose. The doseBadges are only suited to occupational noise measurement, not for environmental noise.
The sound level meter exceeds the requirements for occupational noise measurement in terms of grade and function. It includes all the necesary noise parameters and can be used for a full occupational noise survey.
The CR1710 Optimus Environmental sound level meter is ideal for environmental and community noise assessments. It can be used hand-held or it can be fitted to a standard camera tripod for longer measurements.
This meter meets the sound level meter standards to Type 1 and includes all the usual environmental noise parameters, such as LAeq, LAmax and multiple Ln (L10, L50, L90, etc).
The doseBadge Pro is a small noise dosimeter that mounts on the worker's shoulder in order to measure noise exposure throughout the working shift. It is fully self-contained, with rechargeable battery and microphone built in.
The noise dosimeter is fixed to the worker's clothing or overalls using the clips provided. Once running it continuously measures the sound levels, recording the levels every second and calculating the total noise exposure in line with the occupational noise regulations.
This is the Pro version of the doseBadge, so it includes extra functionality such as octave band filters, multiple channels and fast charge time. It is suitable for use in all international occupational noise regulations in case you need to use it in different regions.
This Combination Kit includes the CR1710 Optimus Environmental Sound Level Meter. This is a Type 1 Integrating sound level meter . If you only need a hand-held meter and not the noise dosimeters then this meter can be bought on its own on the Optimus Environmental page.
All measurements are stored and can be downloaded to a computer for further analysis and reporting.
The CMB1710/x Combination Kits include the NoiseTools software, which provides the following functions:
There is no extra charge for the NoiseTools software and it can be installed on multiple computers without the need for extra licences. You can read more about this software's features and the meters it supports on the NoiseTools Software page.
An application for mobile phones or tablets can be used to control the doseBadge Pro and view ongoing noise measurements. This app is also free of charge.
