The NoiseSensor range of noise monitors are designed to link in to process control and monitoring systems. They have a 4-20mA current loop output providing the 'A' weighted sound level in dB.
The LITE version of the NoiseSensor, order code MK440, makes the same acoustic noise measurements as the standard version, but has less extreme weather protection and meets the noise standards to Class 2.
This version is FM approved for use in hazardous environments and potentially explosive atmospheres. It does not provide for remote calibration checks, so if you need this feature see the MK427 NoiseSensor below.
With protection against the weather and dust, the NoiseSensor LITE can be installed indoors or outdoors.
This version of the NoiseSensor, order code MK427, has even higher levels of protection against extreme weather and dust. It meets the noise standards to Class 1.
A remote calibration system is included. It uses an electrostatic actuator fitted to the outdoor microphone. The actuator can be switched on by the controlling software or monitoring system to carry out a calibration check.
This is the version of NoiseSensor to use for long term monitoring in harsh conditions, or where regulations recommend or demand the use of a Class 1 noise monitor.
